How it works

From your constitution to your daily choices.

Ayurveda is personalised by design. Vashist is the path that connects assessment to practice — and to the human practitioner, when one is needed.

01Assessment

Five layers, not one.

Most wellness platforms ask one thing — Vata, Pitta, or Kapha — and stop there. Classical Ayurveda sees deeper. Vashist captures five constitutional layers, and every recommendation downstream begins here.

Prakriti

The constitution you were born with

The Vata-Pitta-Kapha balance you received at birth. The stable baseline of who you are.

Captured by the Prakriti test on the homepage.

Vikrutti

Your current imbalance

How far you are, right now, from your Prakriti. The dynamic snapshot — shifting with season, stress, and habits.

Captured by the Vikrutti test, complementary to Prakriti.

Koshta

Digestive nature

Krura, Mridu, or Madhyama. The strength of your Agni and how you digest — food, experiences, emotions.

Captured via the Bristol scale inside the Vikrutti test.

Guna

Mental balance

Sattva, Rajas, and Tamas. The three qualities that describe the state of your mind — clarity, activity, or inertia.

Captured by the Guna Assessment in the Mind & Spirit module.

Ojas

Vital essence

The reserve of vitality that sustains immunity, longevity, and inner luminosity. The result of what you eat, how you digest, and how you live.

Captured by the Ojas Calculator in the Nutrition module.

02Conversation

An AI that knows who you are.

The Vashist chat doesn't start cold. It starts with your Prakriti, your Vikrutti, your history of practices and meals. Every conversation is informed — and every answer cites its source.

Grounded in the classical texts

The AI retrieves passages from the Samhitas — Charaka, Sushruta, Vagbhata — through semantic RAG search over pgvector. Answers cite the classical source and knowledge-base articles.

Persistent memory

Mem0 keeps context across conversations: your dosha, your practices, what you asked last week. No need to repeat yourself. Available to PRO users.

Many voices, observed

Multi-provider routing via OpenRouter; every call traced with Langfuse for quality and cost. Master personas (Dhanvantari, Charaka, Sushruta) have dedicated RAG collections.

03Personalisation

Every recommendation starts from your dosha.

Assessment and chat feed everything else. There is no generic module — your routine, your meal plan, your practices, and your protocols are computed from the constitutional portrait you've built.

Daily routine (Dinacharya)

A set of daily habits adapted to your dosha and the current season, with optional sync to Google Calendar and Outlook.

Weekly meal plan

Meals computed from your Prakriti and Vikrutti, with shopping lists exportable to PDF.

Practice library

Meditations, pranayama, mantras, and yoga nidra chosen to support Sattva balance in your current mental state.

Wellness Protocols

Structured 30, 60, or 90-day programmes with daily check-ins and optional practitioner supervision (€30–90 per programme).

04The human

AI is a tool. The practitioner is irreplaceable.

When a real condition emerges, when you need Darshana and Sparshana — clinical observation and touch — Vashist refers you to a verified practitioner. The continuity of the Centro de Ayurveda lineage extends into the platform.

Verified professionals

Trained in the Centro de Ayurveda lineage or equivalent, with identity verification, credentials, and professional insurance.

Integrated marketplace

Six consultation types (video, phone, in-person, and more), with payment split between platform and practitioner via Stripe Connect.

Protocol supervision

Additionally, the 30/60/90-day Wellness Protocols can be supervised by a practitioner, as an add-on to the base programme.

AI is a tool. Knowledge remains sacred. The practitioner is irreplaceable. The platform exists to amplify, never to replace.
Founding principle of the Vashist Project

Begin at the beginning

The Prakriti test takes eight minutes. Everything else unfolds from there.
